Chris Hayes opening tonight with coverage of the Plan B decision.

It's worth watching on the re-run, both for his description of "regular politics" versus "vagina politics" and to see his discussion panel -- all female. (Guess he didn't know he was supposed to do it the way Congress does. )

The mandatory hand/arm flailing is out out control and somebody is going to get hurt.
And it's so damn manufactured.

Now he's talking about how the "disability is the new welfare" meme "jumped the species barrier" from the Drudge Report to NPR.

very good. Very knowledgeable and easy to listen to.
His weekend shows were hard for me to watch too.
I tried AGAIN tonight. He's like the Energizer bunny
on crack. He opened with 11 yr. olds capable of having
babies and otc drugs, etc. Just wasn't what I wanted to
listen to. Of course, even Rachel can get on my nerves.
It's her delivery....give me some more Lawrence O'Donnell.

The anti-abortion people have been fighting OTC "emergency" contraception for a long time. It bids fair to make them and their issue irrelevant by putting the issue squarely in the hands of the women in question.

I haven't noticed it as one of the items on the shelf behind the register; that seem to be mostly stuff for diabetics.

If they stock Plan B, it's somewhere well out of sight.

Either diabetic supplies or birth control? I mean, I'm a guy, and I don't have diabetes, so I don't know what they do with either one. But if I needed them, then I would know exactly where they keep them, if they do, and what I have to do to get them.

You don't know when the condom's going to break. I think having Plan B openly visible on the shelves will encourage more women to pick up some, to have it on hand if they someday happen to need it. Having it tucked away out of sight means you'll have to either call the pharmacy and sit on hold or visit the store and stand in line, possible for multiple stores, just to see if they have it. Not a fun thing to do if you've got a limited time-window to take it.

Until this ruling, it's been a lot more hassle than was necessary, and not for any good reason.

I'd look into the shelf life of the product too, how long it stays effective, but it would certainly be wise to check into supply issues "pre-need", esp. if you live in a state where they consider it their duty to make it hard for you.
