Fun at the gym today with all the FoxNews watchers.

I work out with a trainer and a group once a week. I exchange services with the trainer because otherwise I couldn't afford her. However, every week I have to listen to Fox Noise and Rush Limbug talking points from the rich bitches in the group and even though I can usually hold my own, it's really frustrating being the only liberal and poor person. However, Thom Hartmann came up with something on his show yesterday. Dress those people up mentally in funny costumes and it goes down better.

So today every time I had to hear something stupid, I mentally pictured her with a dunce cap and a T-Shirt that said Dumbass University, It actually works. I even put clown shoes on one woman who is the worst T-Party freeper of them all. Today we were talking about climate change. Of course, there was all the well we have periods of ice ages and warming. I said yes, but those were made by Nature over millenium and this is man made because of carbon emissions and it's rapidly accelerating. Look up the science.

Then breakthrough! They said well we need to make electric cars affordable for everyone! Did I hear that right? You are actually suggesting a commie, liberal solution? I was gonna go on a roll about solar panels and reversible meters, but someone changed the conversation to pets.

However, I'm pumped. For the first time in a long time I didn't come home grinding my teeth in fury and despair. The mental costume change was fun too!

provide real competition with Fox and CNN. They have the deep pockets to keep broadcasting at a loss until they can get a viewership and more exposure on cable and other TV venues. I believe they are set to launch in July. They have a pretty good format. The only problem with their broadcasts right now is they are actually concentrating on real news around the world stuff we aren't interested in like genocide in Africa and Asia. I think they are going to have to spend a little more time on American/Canadian news and some time refuting all the Heritage Foundation talking points and talking heads that find their way on to rival media.

It should be an interesting experiment to see if they can fight the Murdoch, Time Warner propaganda machine and provide REAL free market competition.

Actually, most of them are very nice, just indoctrinated by the media and their churches. Actually, they tolerate heathen me. The rest of them are church going. I'm sure they think I'm going to Hell because I wouldn't even go to church on easter.

now and then but they are outnumbered by the women so they are pretty quiet. I overhear the conversations between them though about how awful Obama is and Congressional deadlock is the fault of the Democrats. Sometimes I feel like dropping a weight on their feet just to hear them yell. There's one old shit who goes on about the stock market all the time and how it's Obama's fault when the market goes down. Fortunately, he doesn't like to talk to women, so he pretty much shuts up when there aren't any of his cronies around.

Hope you don't have to trade off fitness for high blood pressure!

What are the chances of changing the channel? I did that in a doctor's office last summer. Told the receptionist it was stressful enough sitting in a waiting room without having to listen to the Faux BS. She changed it and one other person waiting actually thanked me. Worth a try?

Fortunately, they just have ESPN on in there. The women talk to each other and this stuff comes up. Sometimes it may be about the homeless begging near stores. (Why don't they just get a job? according to Mrs. T-Party.) Or it may be about the cool spring we are having, today's topic. I said that there is a cool spring worldwide because of climate change. (So that started the the ice age thing) But the point is that these women are watching Fox News at home and listening to Limbug on the radio while driving around on their chores. I know because I ask them where they heard that?

I have asked to have Fox News changed at my mechanics. They now ask me what channel I want when I have to wait.

in the parking lot. I have a "You pay for it. Demand it, MEDICARE FOR ALL" sticker and recently added one that says "EXXONMOBIL, Bringing you climate change since 1870" timely for the climate change conversation. If I can find something with a liberal message on it in gym shirts, I'll buy it.

It's the TV in their homes and the churches they go to. I don't think this will work being I don't know where most of them live. It's just the place I live in. I really hate that we don't get any liberal radio anymore but a lot of the Limbug. If that jammed Limbug, the Laura lady and others it would be worth it.
