an honest study of the benefits of teachers carrying with such wee odds of a school actually being attacked vs. the odds of accidents happening.

Are the kids really safer?

And, what lesson is this for the kids? At this formative stage, will they have imprinted on them that guns are the answer to problems?

jacket riding up, or their shirt tugging, or their piece and reloads printing.

No chalk board writing, no leaning or bending over, no passing out papers, no sitting at desks, or getting up, or reaching up to pull down screens or maps or chalkboards, or any other activity a hundred times a day that might make the gun just a bit uncomfy and have to repositioned.

Also sure they NEVER need to use the bathroom, where the weight of a ccw will pull their trousers down, prompting them to leave the gatt on the back of the shitter or on top of the urinal.

And I'm sure in all schools ANY secrets about what teacher is doing what is a well-kept thing.

Sheesh.

Some gun owners are SOO dumb sometimes, but they sure are crafty at hiding things!

Is West Plains MO actually a dangerous place to begin with? If it wasn't, it is now.

This probably has more to do with media-induced fear than anything else-- "If it can happen in small-town Connecticut, it can happen in small-town Missouri".

I agree, schools don't need guns.

I'm glad I went to school in an age when even talk about arming teachers with firearms would have been unthinkable.

a world where teachers would never imagine carrying a firearm? It existed not that long ago. If we can imagine it, then we can take steps to make it happen.

from West Plains. Our local news is KY3 but I just never listen to it and get my news online.

This is pretty crazy redneck country around here so I'm not surprised. West Plains also made the news during Obama's lst campaign when they put up a HUGE billboard on the main hwy going thru town showing him as a monkey with Hitler's mustache.

I would not let my child go to a school where there are guns on the property.........nuts, just friggin nuts!
