I'd love to tweak it. Do an "America by an Australian (tweaked by an American)" version.

What's the difference? Not much when you live anywhere else. Nice comeuppance. I doubt any of us would do better with Australia, truth be told.

Once I told my Australian niece that (English) America "began" in the first successful colony at Jamestown, which we were going to visit-
She was amazed and said she thought the first settlers were in California. (Cowboys, wild west, gold rush) She had no concept of the early states or where they were.

A lot of Americans would have the same problem drawing Australia--probably more so.

I'd love to be closer to DC for the various protests but then again, I'm quite happy being in Seattle, mostly uncontaminated by DC politics.

I know the names of places and states, but there's very few I could point out on a map if I got asked to. The two Washington thing confused me for a long while, as I thought Washington with the White House was the capital city of Washington the state.

When I was five I had a yellow-colored 45 that was a recording of waltzing Matilda, which I think is like a list of camping equipment.

Is there a great central Koala/Eucalyptus forest?

Of course the sexy Australian lifeguards are near water somewhere.

Hey, we're doing pretty well.

I remember a painting by Hockney of Canberra? Or is it Hanna-Canaberra?

Probably a circular blob with pictures of kangaroos, dingos, and Foster's beer scribbled across it. And Tasmania would just be Taz from Loony Toons.
