Comcast pulls all advertisements showing weapons and firearms
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A local pawn shop owner is angry after a cable company tells him his commercials will no longer be allowed on their system. United Loan and Firearms on Broad Street has been advertising with Comcast for years, but a new policy is causing quite the controversy.
Comcast is now saying no guns allowed and that's not sitting well with advertisers.
"I'm angry," said United Loan and Firearms owner Johnny Finley, "I'm trying not to show it but I'm very angry because we haven't done anything wrong."
(snip)
"
I can understand if we were selling child pornography, yeah we don't want your business, but we aren't doing anything illegal," said Finley.
As for changing his commercial so it can air on Comcast Finley says no way.
"
The liberals are trying their best to take peoples guns away," said Finley. "That's been going on for a long time and this is just one more nail in the coffin."
