Is it just me or has the republicon leadership been laying low lately

For 4 years they were full of bluster but now it seems they've more or less been quiet these last few weeks. Whats the deal with that I wonder
Reloading maybe?

Safety nets nailed to the table, rider to protect Monsanto GMO seed planting from being stopped by federal courts even if there is a health issue (stuck in HR933, Obama signed it with a flourish), gerrymandering looks safe......looks like all the money stuff is sailing merrily through and being enacted - while we are watching things like gay marriage, which really doesn't cost them much and probably just has outlived its usefulness as a vote getter.
When you have Obama and Pelosi grinning and quite on board with your agenda, why be noisy and call attention to yourself? Just start planning for the next election cycle, which is pretty much all that legislation is about, these days.

As long as they have that option they have absolute control of the Senate. Preventing Obama from appointing judges to the Appellate Courts is a big goal. This is what they did with Clinton, leaving 93 vacancies for Bush to fill with Federalist Society members.

Like one Republican said, "We're not going to let anything happen until the black guy is out of the White House." And this was a doctor who supports Obamacare!

Romney cannot be their spokespersoon (they never liked him)
Their ideas are as stale as ever

They never really go away.. they retreat to lick their wounds a bit, and since they can always gum up the works by voting NO on everything we need, they will just concentrate on screwing people state by state and pantysniffing until 2014.

If this is another midterm election where dems sit it out, the republicans will gains more strength in the states, and will emerge in 2016 with a vengeance.

They have to come to terms with their own members, and will come together by then.

The best thing we can hope for is that they somehow cannot control the monsters they have created over time, and they will continue to implode..
