Maybe this is already known, but right when we're talking about tipping - this comes out right when we're debating it.

The recent tip stuff was from a month ago, but we're still talking about it.

The only place I seriously overtip is an ethnic restaurant near me that's been in the news for stiffing the wait staff on wages. It's got the best food in town so I'll make up the difference between what absentee management grudgingly pays and what the wait staff deserves. Eventually, the PTB will have a stern talk with absentee management and the wait staff will be paid and I won't have to overtip.

However, leaving no tip would involve things like a lap full of hot food and being called the "c" word because I asked for a clean fork. I always tip 15%-20%. It's a tough job that I only lasted 3 weeks at since it's incompatible with RA.

mrs. unblock and i are now healthy organic whole grain normal bmi pescatarians, but back in the day we used to eat those giant burgers and fries and i even had a milkshake as my drink.

no idea where i put all that. well, actually, i do. the hint is that i didn't throw it up, didn't exercise, and didn't gain weight. you do the math.

mrs. unblock used to work as a server and trainer, so i've been barred from ever tipping below 20% after tax. mrs. unblock reserves that right for herself, on those truly rare occasions when the server specifically not only screwed up big time but also had a crappy attitude about it. that usually translates to 15% after taxes.
