Damn, that's a lot of words.
As always, I wish to thank the Admins in their sometimes, very thankless task of herding cats in trying to keep DU a somewhat sane and safe harbor for us on the Left.
So Skinner, Elad and EarlG, you completely and totally rock it. Yes, in that Herby Hancock sort of way. (Yes, I'm dating myself)
To the hosts your vigilance in maintaining the various forums and groups give DU the fabric by which we members use as a medium for our concerns, insights, rants, raves and feigned moral and ethical indignations. I think you from the bottom of my heart.
To MIRT, do you ever sleep? I open DU at roughly 6:30 AM almost everyday and see a long list of banned trolls from the overnight hours. Thank you for keeping DU troll, spam and right wing conspiracy nut free. 
And last but not least, to my fellow DU'ers, you are the apple to my orange, the bag of Doritio's to my pot, the nut to my squirrel, the lance for my boil, the pepto to my bismol, you get the idea, Thank you.
And as with each 5K milestone that I reach, I remove all those who were on my ignore list. And this time, my list was loooooooong, why? Most, if not all, were blocked due to a stress issue in my life and I didn't need to rile my bile. So I ignored and ignored frequently. And my blood pressure dropped to Yogi lows. So you are free from the unknown prison that I keep you in, let your freak fly!
And like with each and everyone one of my past 5k milestones, I say fuck you. Fuck you from the bottom of my heart. You keep me sane, you allow me my sometime rant and my often misguided insights on things I have no power to change but believe somehow by putting my words out there the butterfly effect of sanity, as a whole, will prevail.
As I get older I have gotten certainly mellower. And as such, I am pained to say, I love you all.
Life is so very short, be more peaceful and understanding, but most of all, smile more. You'd be surprised how quickly that small gesture will defuse a bad situation.
