Just great. Drones Over California.

The military-industrial complex wants Southern California airspace to become a test range for drones as soon as possible.

California drones are wanted by the San Diego Military Advisory Council, the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation, Northrup Grumman, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and the FAA, which is planning drone test zones to put pilotless aircraft into U.S. airspace.

Northrop Grumman manufactures Global Hawk drones, while General Atomics makes Predator drones. It is not surprising that corporate drone makers want to fill the skies with drones. Drones make money.

What surprises many, however, is that the U.S. Navy is planning to base intelligence gathering drones at Point Mugu in Ventura County near Oxnard and Malibu.
