to run as a 3rd party candidate and spoil any slight chance Romney has at winning? I've never seen Newt act so scorned. Romney has really gotten under his skin in a BIG way. I wouldn't put it passed Newt to try and ruin it for Mitt even if just out of spite.

and that just isn't rhetoric. Gingrich's narcissism and self obsession is far beyond even George W. Bush's. There is nothing he will not do to punish someone who has crossed him if he can convince himself it will help conservatism and won't land him in prison. Watch for Newt to run as a spoiler claiming that Romney is a moderate or liberal and that it would be better to have the GOP defeated in 2012 than turned into a moderate party with Romney as elected leader.
