making me cry with pride and joy every time he gives a speech. I have a hard time listening with my eyes watering and my nose running. He is too much for me. He rings bells my ears want to hear; he has expressions that my eyes needed to see. I've been watching some of the speech again on msnbc, and it still is strong, playing it again does not water it down.
The speech had the heartfelt sensitivity of the Gettsburg Address..am I going too far?
Makes me wonder if we had a secretary of state all this while. Israel seems like it is starving for sincerity and straight talk. Does our President have to go to every country in the Mideast and Europe to explain us to them?
On to No. Korea, Mr. President. What kind of miracle awaits you there? When I asked you to stop in the OP, I really didn't mean it, honest. Never stop.
Oh, and Joe Biden did a great job in New York today with Mayor Bloomberg.
What a team!!!!

(90,704 posts)Hubby always tears up when he listens to the Prez. Sometimes I do too.
After all this time, I think we have PTSD from living through Baby Caligula's 8 years in office. Maybe the people who are so mad at Obama do too, they just express it differently.

(24,721 posts)I was blown away by his frankness & straight talk in regard to Israeli/Palestinian relations. As you said, the Israelis seem to be starving for it. The applause he got showed that.

(36,392 posts)to undo Republican policies instead of helping enact them. He makes me cry by calling Medicare an entitlement and offering chained CPI and other benefit cuts.
Unfortunately his smooth presentation has gotten former Dems on board with shit you would have screamed about if Bush had proposed it.
Part of the game, I guess.
