I drove by Planned Parenthood today and a small group was on their knees praying. It was a couple with 3 school age children, an older couple and a senior citizen. I had to drive by twice to get a better look.
What are they praying for? Abortions to stop, medical staff to retire, or fetuses to go to heaven?
Do they also go to burn units and cancer care centers and pray for recovery? Do they spend time volunteering in after school programs? Do they take lunches to the elderly?
I guess I just don't get it.

(13,257 posts)That's all I can figure. Because they certainly don't tear their hair over the suffering of the living, and once a fetus is born they don't care what kind of life it's been condemned to.

(47,992 posts)the very abortions that they supposedly abhor and I do mean "supposedly", because, if it weren't for abortion, I doubt that some people would have a sense of purpose at all. I think if we got a close look into their sense of social and economic justice and their attitudes toward something called "Just War", we'd find that many don't mind killing the helpless, directly or indirectly, at all, so what they're really quibbling about with abortion is who pays for what killing.

I wonder if they are organized and have a sign up sheet.
Church?
They were such a small group, I don't think they were making any impact.
