Rachel made an interesting statement on Bill Mahrer's show in reference to the rethuglican

congressman who has changed his mind on LGBT issues since he found out that his son is gay. She indicated that he only changed his mind when he found out that he was not Romney's vp pick. In addition she said that she would like the GOP to wake one morning and find out that their children are poor. Then they will change their minds about cutting programs that help the underprivileged.

But, some people really do take time to change. I think I would be more suspicious if he changed in his mind in just a couple of days. He is a republican after all. I am actually kind of shocked he changed his mind at all. But, some people really do love their children enough to admit that they were wrong and do that soul searching thing.

As soon as Ben he finished his statement he was emphatic in saying he would not be taking a leadership role in this issue. In otherwords it is one and done for Portman. Can't get much more tepid than that.

you know people like bush and mccain don't really care whether gays get married but they oppose it for political reasons.

someone like santorum really is anti gay .
