Bizarre on the Border: Illegal Immigrants Are Now Demanding to be Arrested

The latest bizarre development along the Texas-Mexico border...1200 WOAI's Michael Board reports illegal immigrants are coming into the U.S. from Mexico...and then demanding to be arrested!

Shawn Moran with the National Border Patrol Council says it has happened several times in the past two weeks since the 'sequestration' budget cuts kicked in. He says large groups of illegals are coming across the Rio Grande, and then waiting to be arrested.

"They are under the impression that due to sequestration and budget cuts, they would just be released from the detention centers," Moran said.

Moran says on some occasions, the illegals have actually presented themselves to Border Patrol agents or other law enforcement, and announcing that they are illegal immigrants.
