He was a general who took orders from his elected Commander-in-Chief. He knew how the system was supposed to work. Every Republican wanker since has taken orders from a nefarious bunch of cronies bent on capital accumulation.

Sad thing is they never could have gotten away with it without a lot of complicit Americans who were more than happy to be Reagan's useful idiots.

Unfortunately a lot of those useful idiots are still walking among us.

Reagan just resurrected Coolidge's idea of cronyism when he gave jobs to his cronies while he was in the White House.
Reagan also reinstated the "trickle-down economic" policies that Coolidge and Hoover had both followed in the 1920s and 1930s.

It was just hashed over hash that our grandparents and parents had seen before.
