I'm not sure how much clarity is emerging in this endless back and forth about the Catholic Church. I'm in the "anti" camp, essentially, but it's unrealistic, imo, to expect people whose emotional needs are in some hard-to-fathom fashion addressed by this institution to simply jump ship when confronted by hard, cold logic.
And.. if one looks at the big picture... if there weren't a RCC there would probably be something equally , or even more, objectionable in its place.
