McCain - Hagel

I betcha that McCain didn't want Hagel because of a reason that had nothing to do with Israel.

It's the same reason that Rand Paul filibustered that particular night.

Rand Paul was po'd because he wasn't invited to Obama's dinner and he figured he get even.

McCain considers himself an expert on foreign affairs, especially the military and defense. If Obama wanted a Republican, HE was the logical one to appoint, not Hagel.

The reason in both cases not complicated, it was simple jealously...

And then Paul became something of a hero, and McCain is shooting himself in the leg again and criticizes him. Jealousy.

And Obama picked Biden for VP, and when McCain was running he (or they) picked Sarah Palin. Another reason for jealousy. Poor McCain.
