Elastigirl named top screen mum

Animated heroine Elastigirl from hit movie The Incredibles has been named the top screen mum.

The character, voiced by Holly Hunter, nudged just ahead of Harry Potter's mum Lily in the poll, ahead of this weekend's Mother's Day.

Users of movie rental and streaming service LoveFilm and young cinemagoers who attend Filmclub school movie screenings cast their votes.

Super mum Elastigirl used her incredible powers to look after her family and simultaneously save the world from destruction.

Third place in the poll went to Donna Sheridan, Meryl Streep's character, in Mamma Mia.
