(51,076 posts)I wonder what or who had anything to do with the ultimate death of Chavez. People loved him, large international corporations hated him. Who has the wherewithall to do something about their hate.
I've liked Chavez from day one.
Yes that was a great moment in history

(15,262 posts)When you have a history of people wanting to kill someone, we'd be fools to not think about the possibility.
What better way to get rid of somebody they couldn't take out with a coup.

(269,049 posts)Seemed rather unusual but I am no expert on matters cancer. It's sad to see a relatively young man die so early but this happens every hour of every day.
He was a good man - he really cared for the poor everywhere.

Yet, our post 911 set of mores dictated that we all had to pretend he was Abe Lincoln in the name of "united we stand". Hugo Chavez called *bullshit* and he was right.

(62,325 posts)criminals. And the whole world cheered. I do remember jumping up and down clapping when he made his speech at the UN, daring to do what others wanted to, but didn't have the courage.
Considering that Bush and his band of war criminals tried to remove him from office, he had every right to say what he said, and airc, his comments were hugely popular around the world.
