Vice President Joe Biden told Americas biggest pro-Israel lobbying organization on Monday that President Barack Obama is not bluffing about the United States determination to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
The president of the United States cannot and does not bluff. President Barack Obama is not bluffing, he told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in a speech to its annual policy conference.
Were not looking for war. Were ready to negotiate peacefully . But all options including military force are on the table, said Biden.
While that window is closing, we believe there is still time and space (for diplomacy), he added.

Biden at AIPAC: Committed to Israel's Security
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden spoke at the annual AIPAC conference in Washington on Monday and reiterated the fact that the U.S. stands behind Israel, even though the two countries have butted heads in the past.
"We understand that if Israel makes a mistake, it may jeopardize its very existence. Therefore we are committed to Israel's security, and this will not change. It is necessary for us, beyond the moral issue."
"Maybe in the past we did not agree on tactics, but we never argued about strategy, that Israel must defend herself, by herself," he added.

(46,416 posts)when the United States engages in war with Iran. And also shifts the "red line" way closer than it is now, with weapon CAPABILITY being the trigger for military action, not actual developed weapons. Because Joe really should address that with the AIPAC crowd, since they're the ones who really want this resolution. AND got Barbara Boxer to sign on.

Is this 2013 or 2003?
