Ann Romney: GOP never approached me about Kerry's seat
By Elise Viebeck - 03/03/13 09:38 AM ET

Ann Romney denied rumors Sunday that the Republican Party had approached her about running for Secretary of State John Kerry's former Senate seat.

"No, they didn't approach me," Romney said. "I think there was a thought, 'Oh, wouldn't that be fun for Ann to do that.' I'm like, 'did anyone want to consider how fun it would be for me to do that?'"

In early February, reports suggested that Massachusetts Republicans wanted Ann Romney to run to replace Kerry.

Her star had risen during the presidential election, when she was seen as a major asset to husband Mitt Romney's campaign.

It's our job to deprive them and their heirs of that position.

She seems to think that because she wanted to be empress that somehow qualifies here for a Senate seat... heck, even Caroline Kennedy couldn't pull that one off.

That woman needs some long-term therapy, and of course, so does the rest of her immediate family... hubby included. They are so full of themselves which = you know what. What is really scary is that they have reproduced.

when the reality based world gives way to that mish-mash fantasy world of Stephen King and Dean Koonce. A little scarey, yes, but who in their right mind would ever believe it to be "real".. I mean, "Christine" was more plausible than Ann Romney in the senate from Massachusetts.

I mean back when I studied civics, they sorta described the system as - people decide to run for office, file and campaign.

Whereas instead, it is more like

First, seats are considered filled until a scandal, death, or retirement of the incumbent.
Second, at that point, the party "leaders" go out in search of a rich celebrity to run for the now "open" seat.

Democracy, what a system.

trying their best to convince America just how much better we would all be with their brand of "we rich people are just better and smarter than you all" type politics.

continual epic failure is not in their vocabulary.

watching them is like watching a plane crash into a train which derails into a bus load of nuns hitting an orphanage.
