The Republican sequestration bill got 38 votes in the Senate and failed.

The Democratic sequestration bill got 58 votes in the Senate and failed.

As Rachel would say, "One got 38 votes and one got 58 votes but they both failed..."


Why? Because the Republicans continue their filibuster bullshit, even when a good majority votes for passage.

One of the bills was much more popular, with a majority, than the other but they were both equal in the eyes of the US Senate.
