if you were in the jury box? Arizona is one of the states that allows the jurors to submit questions.
I am sorry for not providing a link so that readers could learn more about Jodi. As I said down thread I erred in thinking that since because I live in Phoenix and am bombarded with this story I thought other would know of her. Dateline will be doing a story on the trial tonight.
Since she is guilty, I'd ask when did she make the decision to spend the rest of her life in jail.

(11,304 posts)29 times, cut his throat from ear to ear and at the end shot him in the face. That is all. What a sweet heart. If you want a look just tune into Nancy Grace or Dr Drew at night and you will get what happened in court that day.

(56,177 posts)Slitting and then shooting????
southernyankeebelle
(11,304 posts)everything. But I think while he was in the shower now she had him pose for picture and got him in a vulnerable position. She stabbed in the back and all over his body. He some how was able to back her up and get out of the shower. In the hallway I think is where she cut his throat. Then got his body back into the shower and shot him in the face. I mean how many damn ways can you kill someone? She is downright crazy. You can get on Dr Drew.com website and it has a picture of her and some of the clips. You should hear the stuff coming out of her nasty mouth. She was trying to make Travis look like a pervert but there is nothing in his computer or closets or any of the rooms in his house that he was a pervert.

(56,177 posts)I've tried to avoid this case, but it's getting a lot of coverage...not many people seem to be believing her.

(11,304 posts)he died. I kept looking at her and I kept wondering how in the world could she do this. But the prosecutor is getting her. She pre planned this, my goodness she is an evil woman. To think after she killed him she made two cellphone calls to him. They were perky and the topper was she sent flowers to the grandmother who raised him. The girl is evil, just plan evil.

(6,205 posts)Living here in Phoenix I forgot that not everyone is paying attention to this story. Sadly, we can't escape it. Even some of the gossip shows like Extra! have Jodi Arias updates. I appreciate you posting a link for other DUers. And to all the DUer's I am sorry for not proving a link.

She's frightening. I hope she doesn't walk.

(13,184 posts)It used to be CNN's Headline News, but now it's all Jody all the time. They did break away from their breathless, round the clock coverage for a couple of minutes. Something about a pope or something.

(8,694 posts)why CNN is devoting so much airtime to this shit. A crazy sex obsessed woman killed her boyfriend, ok, I get it.
To give it the same gravity as a tsunami or hurricane, is ridiculous.

(36,063 posts)It's just another brand of the bs that is the pseudo news of the US infotainment industry.
Personally, I'd just as soon watch manure being spread on fresh snow.

(32,025 posts)Are they going to do it right away or are they going to pretend to deliberate for awhile before they do it.

(6,539 posts)She's an inveterate liar and I don't believe that it was self defense. Having watched most of the trial, I think she's deserving of lots and lots of prison time.
That said, I'd hang the jury before I'd vote for the DP.
It's sickening to watch the TruTV, HLN crew nearly having orgasms over the thought of putting a needle in her arm.

(36,437 posts)The ability to ask questions is not open ended, nor would it allow a question like that. In any case, you'd be immediately removed from the jury, since, unlike the million and one Internet commentators, the jury members are not supposed to form an opinion until the case goes to them.
You'd also likely cause a mistrial, which would be exactly what you deserved for such a dumb question.

(6,205 posts)Good thing that one, I am not on the jury, and two - the questions are written then submitted for the judge to see and not asked by individuals jurors.
Thank you for helping me learn more about trial procedures. Have a good weekend.

(1,933 posts)if they object to a particular on, the judge decides if it stays in. They don't just let all the questions in court. Also, the defendant (or whichever witness for either side is being asked the questions) have the right to read the questions before they are read in court. That is the procedure as far as I see it on internet live stream.

(12,597 posts)on the stand. I remember her answering "yep" instead of yes to some of the questions. Didn't watch it too closely, but I thought for sure they came up with a guilty verdict. So, I am surprised to see that it is a current trial. I got the idea it was an old trial.

(6,205 posts)It will be interesting to watch Dateline this evening. Thursday she admitted to the prosecution that she lied to Dateline.
Sorry for the bad pun but this story is definitely over-kill.

(377 posts)you ask a question. I get really tired of seeing questions asked without a question mark.

(53,035 posts)So I can vote guilty and go home.
I would never be on that jury, though, because I would pass the screening for supporting the death penalty.

I'm getting the trial through osmosis. My wife has been mainlining HLN.
