King blasts Rubio for fundraising in New York

(CNN) - New York has long been seen as something like a political ATM, one of several states ripe with cash for candidates who visit, collect checks and return to their districts or states to campaign.

Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican, again blasted a member of his party who tapped the New York fundraising well but cast a vote against federal relief funds for the victims of Superstorm Sandy. This time, the candidate in his sights was Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, a potential 2016 presidential candidate.

"It's bad enough that potential Republican presidential candidates voted against Hurricane Sandy aid, that's inexcusable enough," he wrote in an email to supporters on Thursday. "But to have the balls to come in and say, 'We screwed you now make us president?'"

Rubio was recently in New York for a series of fundraising meetings, according to reports including one from Politico.

Marco is a lying, opportunistic douchebag and I can only hope most people will come to realize this.
