Nowzad Animals- Rescuing stray dogs & cats in Afghanistan and Iraq

“The life of Afghan animals is not one of comfort at the best of times; most of the day is spent hunting for scraps of food or hiding from the hot desert sun during the summer or the freezing cold of a desert winter night. There is definitely no pampered pet status in Afghanistan”
Pen Farthing

After 6 months of our wonderful Nowzad family fundraising like crazy for us we have been able to now secure a lease for 12 months on a great piece of land for the shelter. Building is now completed and most of the dogs have been moved to the new shelter.
We will still be looking to purchase land later on in the year but for now we have halted fundraising for the shelter appeal and would ask you all to continue sharing word about our work and to please donate to the General Funds we have in place to help us find the funds to run the shelter! We need to continually raise funding to cover medical supplies, feeding and cleaning of all the cats and dogs and many other things.
Please consider donating to one of the pages we have in place below.

Not sure what you mean...you're going to find abused and abandoned animals everywhere...it's always a crisis situation in any war-torn area...let's hope this group can help a lot of them.
