NRA's proposed mental illness database is a bad idea. A friend wrote this article

and asked his friends to pass it on. Andrew helped revitalize our local Democratic party back in 2004. Smart dude.

The National Rifle Association’s proposal to establish a national list of persons with mental disorders is overbroad, and would result in government monitoring of a large portion of the US population.

A mental illness database is just an attempt to impose discrimination and scapegoat those with psychiatric diagnosis to protect the murders and criminals that provide so much profit to the NRA. The NRA is the closest thing to pure evil on the planet.

if a mental health professional thinks you are danger to yourself or others, they can put your name in the system, preventing you from possessing or buying guns.
