However, her stuff is extreme. Maybe it is a play on electricity or future prosthetics.

Netflix has it on streaming now

That is an enjoyable movie, appreciated it even more with this most recent viewing.

Though frankly, I think these designs don't exemplify that.

Be that as it may, what worries me about 3D printers is the waste. The amount of paper waste skyrocketed when normal printers came up, and we've never looked back on that. Is the plastic waste in this country going to do the same as 3D printers become more and more ubiquitous? Paper at least biodegrades, plastic is forever.

But even if recycled, that plastic is going to be around forever.

...since they certainly look plastic. The other nine examples from the article didn't include any non-printed paraphernalia. Hmm.

If you can't afford to buy one for your home workshop now, wait a few years. In the meantime, look for hobby spaces and workshops in your neighborhood. Example: The Hammerspace Workshop here in South KC. They have an incredible range of tools; in addition to 3-D printers, they've got vacuum-forming tables and kilns and a wide range of power tools.

Do a Google search to see what's available for your neighborhood.
