OOopps!! Some UNDERLING made a mistake in Monsanto-SUBSIDY-Sam's office.

Sound familiar, anyone?

Notes from BrownKOCHistan:

"But an alert reporter from the Wichita Eagle challenged that claim, leading to an admission from Brownback’s budget director, that, oops, due to a spreadsheet error, the governor was working with incorrect information. Instead of falling, state spending under Brownback was slightly higher than it was when his predecessor, Democrat Mark Parkinson, was governor.

Well, hey, everybody makes mistakes, and the budget office was only off by $2 billion or so. But the corrected numbers certainly change the narrative. The downward spending arc was a mirage."

What might this sort of thing have had to do with the disappearance of the family farm?

Increase spending while claiming spending cuts. Cut revenues and claim a balanced budget. And lie. The important thing is to lie. Lie so well that your constituents will believe you, in spite of what they see with their own two eyes.

It's a gift. I believe Brownback has a rich political future in front of him.

And, yes, some of them are going to do it anyway, but things also DO change, because that IS the nature of reality. It's not frozen in our absolutist characterizations of it and we can actively participate in that event, referred to generally as "reality", or we can cop out and take a free ride on the work of others, just like the oppressor just wearing a different label . . . maybe, maybe not. It's up to each individual if they want to be a member of whatever herd.
