So what can we do about the GOP?

If they were a foreign country, we might be at war. If they were “terrorists,” they’d probably be targeted for drone strikes. If any entity in the world was trying to totally destroy us through fiscal means, we’d likely go after them with everything we’ve got.

But the GOP doesn’t fall into any of these categories. So it looks like there’s nothing to be done to stop their insanity. And through redistricting, it looks like they’ll be able to hold onto the House during the 2014 election.

They’ll eventually fall into the dustbin of history. But the damage they do in the meantime will hasten the decline of the American empire. And I don’t believe there’s a damn thing we can do about it.
