no better way to start the day than to look up n2doc's 'toon fest
Funny how cartoonist and comedians are where the real honest news that really really matter comes from.

I don't know how many pieces I've read over the last decade or two saying that demographics will crush the republican party.

Sounds like wishful thinking.

Where's the evidence?

Why are we still worried about every election?

Minorities of all descriptions, young people, even young Cubans voted for the democrats by wide margins. But we're not there yet, especially given the gerrymandering the GOP has been perfecting (Dems won the overall House vote by almost 1.4 million votes but still couldn't get control of it).

But when we get to the point when Texas turns blue....boy hey howdy! And it could, in maybe 1 or 2 more presidential election cycles. Heck, there was a post just today? regarding someone from the Texas GOP who thinks Texas could be in play in 2016 if Hillary is the top of the ticket).

Edited to add: IMHO worrying is better than being complacent (although I was confident enough this time to watch election returns on Faux--and what a treat that turned out to be!).
