The President is on a path to beat the 2nd term curse.

The corporate media loves to extrapolate from Watergate, Irangate and Monicagate to the inevitability of failed second term presidencys. If the first few days of the Obama current term is any indication, Barack's next 4 years are likely to be better than his first 4.By channeling his left of center soul and his Chicago political smarts, he is running circles around the hapless GOP. I hope he parlays it into a Democratic majority in both the House and the Senate in 2014 and tees it up for a successful run for Hilary or my favorite Elizabeth Warren in 2016. We can exorcise the pernicious effect of Reagan market BS and anti-New Deal histrionics forever.

He is one of the smartest politicians to walk the planet.

Think of what he has accomplished with the "NO AT ANY COST" congress he inherited.

They have actually become so desperate they would refuse a Secretary of Defense nomination.

From what I remember, the country was finally starting to get sick of him by this point. Too bad they couldn't have three months earlier.

The clip of him bragging about how he earned political capital and he was going to use it to change Social Security is hall of fame dumb.

Of the Republicans working state to state, in D.C. and internationally to destroy the country.

It's going to be a long struggle to even get back to the point of we were in 2000. We need much more than we had then to finally represent all our citizens and meet the huge challenges ahead.
