Republicans have made a choice.

The President explained it today on the Al Sharpton radio program: "And they would prefer to see these kinds of cuts that could slow down our recovery over closing tax loopholes."

The people, Democrats and Republicans, need to understand which side is standing up for them and which side they are choosing to stand on. Politics is not bean bag. It is about people's lives.

Republicans have made the choice. They choose the tax loopholes for the wealthy over the general welfare of everyone else. And that is the truth. They can shine that turd all they want and it is still the turd they have chosen.

They are uninterested and uneducated. All we can do is forewarn them. They are being used against their own interests and for the interests of the wealthy. But, I guess, we all are??

69 percent of republicans vote republicans bercause their parents did. Research demonstrates this. I suspect about 69 percent of democrats vote democrat because their parents did. President Obama has been great at taking away talking points that turn on the republican parts of the independent and republican brains. It is up to us to appeal to the progressive values all of us have. In this way, the uneducated and uninformed can decide to listen and think for themselves. The conservative mantra does not hold up wel under scrutiny and if we inch our way into the conscious of others allowing them to open up without blaming them for their unintended sins, we will be more successful.
As for being used against their own interests, it is up to them to define their interests, not us. However we can point out politely the cognitive dissonance between what they desire and the unreasonable expectation their actions will succeed.
Lets kill them with love. They are Americans too. If we listen with respect, then we get respect and then can be heard. It is awfully slow going sometimes but the uninformed and ignorant are not the enemy. The rich, well informed, and greedy and their republican and democratic servants are.

As Barny Frank said, you might as well talk to a dining room table! The Kool Aid is thick in Glenbeckistan.

Got a week left.
Plenty of time ... well, at least ... time.

It seems the Repubs want every single budget decision to be made in a rush 30 seconds before doomsday.
I guess that's preferable for them to debating and working out details over several weeks.

It might be an hour before the deadline, or the rethugs will wait until the sequester's kicked in for a few days, but there will most likely be an eleventh hour deal, or at least a "little bit past the deadline" deal.

Historically speaking.

*However*, there seems to be a trend towards seeking truth in politics. Teabaggers, Occupiers, Educators, Seniors, Hispanics, and many other voting blocs not containing the OWM bloc, are starting to feel the effects of GOP decision makers over the last 40 years.

While I've been unable to find/point to convincing research, let's hope this represents a trend for the future. Succeeding is actually easier, and more profitable. America should be leading the way towards global prosperity, as we once were on track to do.

Peace out.
