GOP World - Science Fiction For Real - Robocop Nation.
Just look at what is happening in Kansas, Michigan, and Wisconsin to start and then look at policy in the rest of the GOP controlled states. Look at what our government would look like in "GOP World.
It is a country run and controlled by corporations, Homeland Security and the Department of War. (DOD).
There would be NO cabinet officers and no federal agencies. All the domestic programs would be turned over to the churches or charities much like it was in the late 1800's. All the federal powers would be sent to the states under devolution. That includes EPA, DOL, Commerce, HHS, Disease Control, et all.
It would be Constitutional nirvana for the GOP. All the rest of the federal system would be under the 50 states with 50 different law and enforcement scenarios. State government would be heavily contracted to business and industry.
Like trucking laws every state would make up its own laws and we would have 50 different state laws for just about every former federal function.
Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Unemployment, Workers Compensation etc would all be voluntary and workers would only have biased courts to hear their complaints.
Voting would be at the will of the states and no national laws would apply. Just look at all the permutations of voter ID. And Gerrymandering would have failsafe districts for political cronies on the right.
The GOP cannot run on what they really want openly and they know it. The latest crisis is just another step toward their idea of
GOP dictatorship. Their version of police forcers are as enforcers favoring the rich.
