I don't know if you read here a couple of weeks ago that my district's state representative switched her party affiliation from D to R before being sworn in last month (after serving as a Democrat since 2006). Her switch really pissed off a lot of people in the district because she gave the R's in the House a supermajority, and they've been running roughshod over us since the session started.
We've launched a recall campaign and have dug up all of her boondoggle trips over the past six years. She's had well over $80,000 worth of travel paid for by various organizations, but this Aspen Institute turns up every couple of months.
She tells us that just because she changed parties doesn't mean that she's really changed, which leads me to believe that she's been a closet R all along. Otherwise, how could she ever have justified that switch.
Anyway, long story, but thanks for the info.
