Local Coordination Committees
There are 62 martyrs in Syria today up until now including 3 children and two defected recruits. In Damascus suburbs, there were 16 martyrs in Kafar Batna, Saqba, Hamourya, Rankoos, Zabadany and Harasta. Also, 19 martyrs in Homs, 15 in Hama,5 in Idlib, 4 in Daraa and one in each of Saraqeb,DeirEzzor and Damascus

Martyrdom of Yaseen Eid Abo Elleil, and many injuries were reported, by security forces gunfire which are continuously shooting the city with tanks. Snipers were deployed in the Jawaza and Asqalani areas while the residents are preparing to bid farewell to yesterdays martyr after Isha (evening) prayer

Intense shooting from the regimes checkpoints in the Northern part of the city
Hama
Light bombs targeted Bab Qibli neighborhood and the residents are reporting the spread of sleeping gases

I really object to framing this as a religious war. Its a bad move imho.

(18,795 posts)Those who were killed in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Tunisia are all called martyrs. The person who self-immolated in Tunisia was called a martyr. There was NO religious war in Tunisia - there was no religious war in Egypt or Libya, and neither is there a religious war in Syria.

(since they are the ones who are DEAD, and you are the one merely "offended", I think they out rank you, and can be called what they want to be called. IMHO)
