I just got a request from a major radio network who wants to honor Hurricane Sandy first responders with brief "shout-outs" during athletic events.
Edit to add that they're not wanting just a list of names, but recommendations of sorts, by people who live on Long Island, with VERY brief anecdotes regarding how these first responders helped during Sandy.
Please contact me if you know of any residents and/or first responders who served the Long Island area during Sandy that may meet the above criteria, and how to reach them or their loved ones to get brief info (where they work, brief background info and Sandy-specific tidbits).
Maybe someone can contact the best Occupy group for me to reach out to with this inquiry?
I'm trying to reach someone with Occupy Sandy now.
I'll post this in the NY group as well.

(6,036 posts)Thats a basic part of ICS to ensure the tracking of all individuals involved not to mention the required background checks. Atleast all tose who reported via central staging areas should be recorded.

I have contacted a FEMA friend who can probably help, though.
