Before You Do Anything Else You Must Watch This Meteor Tear Over Russia [VIDEO]

http://www.businessinsider.com/a-huge-meteor-just-exploded-over-russia-2013-2

A terrifically impressive meteor-like object skimmed last night through Russian skies.

Initial reports pegged the glowing ball as a huge meteor, but speculation lingers over what exactly it may have been.

The object exploded over Eastern Russia, near the Ural mountains, on Friday morning.

The BBC reports the blast was so intense that windows were blown from homes, and cars causing injuries to at least 400 people.

I'm pretty sure I'd be vocally processing a full load of adrenaline that would overwhelm the vehicle noise!

That's what is called a bolide meteor. In some videos of this it even makes a sonic boom (which apparently broke windows).

There is no speculation about what this was.

I'm just surprised any of them even noticed

(I have a Russian friend that would probably laugh at that. He likes to boast how tough they are over there...)

Fireballs are super common, though big ones like this with the sonic boom are rare. This link explains a lot.

I love it. Not people or property being hurt, but what it should remind all of us of.
