'I am the bullet in the chamber': Nike ad pulled from Pistorius web site
Save the debate about using weaponry or violent imagery to sell athletic shoes for another day.
Right now, the news is this: A Nike ad starring Oscar Pistorius and the theme "I Am the Bullet in the Chamber" disappeared from the paralympian's web site after he was charged today with fatally shooting his girlfriend.
Pistorius also appeared in Nike's 2008 "This is my weapon" campaign.
The "Bullet" ad shows the South African double-amputee, nicknamed "Blade Runner," shooting out of the starting blocks. Pistorius, a two-time gold medalist at the 2012 Paralympics, competed at the London Summer Olympics last year too.
