(56,828 posts)in the grand scheme of things, it's not important. However, IMO, it shows that's he's not quite ready for the national stage. I'm a terrible public speaker, but I know before I do any sort of presentation, I grab a drink of water right before, so I don't have to awkwardly reach across the table to get it while making my presentation, or don't have to stop in the middle to get a drink. Rubio's normally a good speaker and he should have handlers to prep him, yet he still forgot to get a drink beforehand and the closest drink was not close at hand.
