Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Rejects Medicaid Expansion

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) announced Wednesday that he would be rejecting a Medicaid expansion under President Obama's health reform law, known as Obamacare, for a plan of his own. Per the Wisconsin State Journal:

Walker said his plan would reduce the number of uninsured by 224,580 people, but said he would do so by moving people into private exchanges rather than Medicaid.

"My goal, I want to have fewer people in the state who are uninsured," Walker said. "And I want to have fewer people in this state who are dependent on government."
