His body language was tense throughout...and it caught up with him. I'm guessing he felt his throat "phleming up" (or frogging) and was more concerned with losing his voice. It was a fight or flight type of reaction...especially when you see him look off screen and he sees the water glass. If he were giving a regular speech in front of the Ocala rotary club he wouldn't have gotten away with running for the water, but Mucus brainfarted for that brief second and proved in front of a worldwide audience that he isn't the "savior" of the rushpublican party...nor ready for prime time.
