Only the bloviating Matthews could cover the Dorner story and drop the name of Ida Lupino.

Because the story was unfolding in Los Angeles, he went off on some tangent about movies that were similar to this story. (None really were, by why would that stop him?) One of the movies starred Ida Lupino.

The poor woman.

17 miles from the San Ysidro border crossing (Lindberg Field) is not next to it.

Was basically a TV movie with Ernest Borgnine, Tom Skerritt and maybe even Shatner, I forget.
