I've been in love with his progressive politics ever since.

I have to admit, regrettably, that as a full-blooded Jersey Boy he was never on my radar (hello...Madonna fan!) but I've always been intrigued by his celebrity since a young kid.

He is really, shall we say, evolved. And I say that with the utmost affection towards Jersey where I spend my summers!

I was raised in South Jersey, in the Philly suburbs, so we have a different take on the Jersey thing.

We've been spending our summers recently in Asbury Park, which is rich with diversity. Bruce would be proud.

10. Saw Springsteen for the first time last summer at the Meadowlands.

Concert delayed until 10 pm due to thunderstorms. He played until almost 3 am and it was his birthday.

Rumor has it that Paul McCartney was scheduled to perform but due to the weather delay backed out.

Nonetheless, great show.
