Penny Pritzker, the finance chair of the Obama campaign who is now a member of his Economic Recovery Advisory Board, has a somewhat different opinion on the Employee Free Choice Act than the President does.
She is joining together with other billionaires to fight the bill, which would "make it easier for unions to organize hotels they own." She has "told the president she is opposed to the measure, known as card check, said a person familiar with the situation."
(note: Pritzker might have played a key role in the legislation failing to get passed, as Obama stayed on the sidelines and refused to push hard for the bill)

Pardon me for a moment here while I compose myself. I always get choked up when rich and important captains of industry take time from their busy schedules to think about the little people.
They tried to scare us, he said. They told us we could lose everything.
Mr. Guitierrez probably just doesnt understand that when a self-made woman like Penny Pritzker who owes her fortune to inherited family wealth hard work and business savvy wants to give him the benefit of her experience, he ought to be just a bit more grateful.
And what a superb history of business acumen Pritzker has demonstrated, particularly at Superior Bank:
Its subsequent seizure by the FDIC was "one of the costliest savings and loan failures in a decade," said the New York Times. Details, details:

(3,894 posts)real belief by informed, astute citizen that Obama was "good" or was going to do anything other than he has so far which is to help his corporate overlords. In doing so, he will do less damage to the rest of us than Rmoney would have done, and a lot of people saw that Rmoney would be worse and chose the lesser of evils, not what you're trying to imply which would be that Obama was a "good" choice. He isn't, he's just not as bad or as bought by corps as the other guy was.

(10,495 posts)Almost all of our (not) politicians are screwing us over in favor of the uber wealthy and corporations.
We need complete campaign finance reform so maybe then they will stay OUR politicians!

(1,693 posts)It's a useless agency. It's nothing but a fluff job the president's friends usually. It's just a position to promote American business. It really has no practically on my life and I really have no time to be outraged. Please give me some other reason to be outraged about Obama on, cause this isn't it.

(1,944 posts)Obama in a room and ask him just what the hell he is playing at.
Obama needs to realize that for he received votes because people were scared of Romney, not that they thought Obama was doing a good job.
