I posted a story last night about the elderly women being shot by the LAPD

Last time I checked she's in intensive care, also there was a pic of the pickup truck she was using at the time with several rounds of bullets.
I saw the original in the LA times yesterday, but didn't bookmark it. When I pulled a copy of the said pic at around 2am had no idea it had been altered.

My entire post has been locked.....

and this post might be locked too because it should really be in META, not GD.

If you want to, go to the thread and repost the article. We were going to lock the entire thread because the original poster didn't follow the correct format ( they only posted a link, not an excerpt from the article) We left it because you had posted the article later on.
LOL - but now your post is gone...

Picture you were looking for, front and center. You'd have to copy it and put it up on your own image hosting site to share it with us, but there it is.

You really "missed" the snarkass image of Obama on the picture you pulled? If you did, you need to be more careful about where you find your photos, and not hotlink.

That post SHOULD have been locked. That picture you slapped up, even if you made an honest mistake, was offensive.

Poor woman. I missed the thread you speak of. What was altered in the pics? Coz I just saw a pic of her truck on google, I think, and it was riddled with bullets with little stickers next to each one as they do when marking evidence.

The truck I saw for some reason seemed a much different blue than the one I had pictured in my mind. I don't recall if I saw a pic of his actual truck and that is where the different colors came in or not.

I'm going to have to go look now. I mean, wrong truck, wrong people, wrong plates and perhaps wrong color. FIRE! WTF?

I did not see Obama at first. I was so interested in the bullet holes that I didn't pay any attention to anything else. I would have posted it too . Many other people seemed to not recognize him either.

I thought it was funny. It's such a bad photoshop.

didn't notice the photoshop, the original came off the LA Times, ironic that this poor woman was in the middle of delivery of the paper when this tragedy happened.

Anyone who would suggest I would do that of purpose, as the above poster, has no idea what I'm about & is not worth a second of my time.

LAPD are lethal keystone cops....

It's probably best for you that it got locked actually. From reading your other posts it's pretty clear to me you're not an Obama-basher and are a pretty typical DU member. It was also apparent you must have accidentally used that picture not noticing the evil photoshop that inserted the President. I had to actually look for it once I was made aware of it so I could see how that might have happened. I know you couldn't link to the LA Times picture. I tried and it didn't work.

I say it's best for you that it locked because, as you can see from the posts there already, you were going to be flamed, and persecuted for a simple mistake. Not productive for anyone nor conducive to a healthy dialog on this site.

If you want, re-post your original post but use a different link to the un-altered photo.

the vehicle that was used by the elderly lady has been reposted numerous times.
I was so saddened & horrified to read this last night, didn't bookmark LA times pic and as said pulled it off of twitter.
It was my fault for not noticing the photoshop in the 1st place, emotion got hold of me when I read this poor elderly lady was now in intensive care. I can't get over how inept and trigger happy the LAPD is.

I believe the President is doing the best that he can and in his heart of hearts is a very good man.
As for the latest talked about drone story, this has been ongoing for a couple of years and has been recorded by the press.

As for threads getting locked, in the past I've posted stories of how the gun manufacturers & NRA are marketing to little children, and then have people from the gungeoun swooning & commenting over the said weapons. At the time I had wished those particular threads had been locked & deleted.
