The predator class empowers itself by dividing and conquering peasants, over religious issues; concerning the rights of sex and race, for instance.

Yet the peasants never question the lies or motives of the predators when their looting the nations treasure, or asked to go to war.

Americans need to take a very close look at their priorities, because the joke is on them.

As a female retired Naval Officer, I find that argument to be so superficial.

My husband will be with those women and may be attracted to them. But there didn't seem to be that same concern for the women in uniform. My wife will be with those men and may be attracted to them. Or what if those women are Not interested in men? Or as in the case of the cartoon, those men are Not interested in women. Even before DADT was rescinded there were many from the GLBT community in uniform.

I can tell you from experience that working with a man in the military does NOT make you automatically sexually attracted to him (Actually it was just the opposite, you may find your spouse irresistible but the rest of us don't.) Besides if someone is going to cheat on their marriage partner, they don't need the excuse of having women in their unit to cheat. There are plenty of men and women outside the military available for a dalliance or two.

Then there was the whole argument about women in the military getting pregnant, as if it was perfectly acceptable to allow men in uniform to reproduce but not women in uniform. Having had 2 children while in the military I can tell you it can be planned around deployments and most career military plan it.

I have been avoiding the ruckus about women in combat because I knew women were already in combat. It was just that the paperwork made it look like they weren't in combat units. But once you have a person integrated into a functioning unit, to lose that person when ordered to combat was very difficult on the unit. So many a time TAD orders were written up to make it look like that person was merely on a training exercise.

Glad to see that the US military has come out of the closet so to speak when it comes to women in combat.

In ancient Sparta, at least, when a boy reached adolescence he was given an older man as a personal instructor in all things. This instruction was quite comprehensive and lasted until the youth was of an age to marry. Many scholars who have studied that society do believe the instruction included sexual aspects.

Israeli women have been in combat roles since 1948. What's the big deal. Soldiers who happen to be women have been in combat situations, in Iraq and still in Afghanistan, you know, like convoy drivers and shotguns, very dangerous, one of my duties in Vietnam. MP's guarding various posts, flying aircraft of all type into drop zones, ect:, I presume the army/marines still deploy that way. Please all this faux worry about traditional roles in the military will be proven to be so much hot air, sooner rather than later. Soldiers who happen to be women have already had to fight for their lives in combat situations. They have been in harms way for many years now. Grow up America, I'm sick of your childish ways.
