BOSTON (AP) Former Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey has joined a growing list of Republicans who've ruled out running in a special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by the departure of former Sen. John Kerry.
Healey said Monday she was grateful for the advice of those who urged her to get into the race but said she's decided against it.

I guess it will come to Dan Winslow (we'll see tomorrow) and Doug Bennett if he gets the 10000 signatures.
This said, dont be too happy. Scott Brown was as little known as Winslow. All it would take is a divisive primary fight for Winslow to have a chance.

I would not ignore Winslow, or any other sane GOP candidate that runs.

(10,942 posts)The problem that Coakley had is that she failed to get out and work from the get go and allowed Brown to gain critical momentum and burnish his image. Stephen Lynch is a neo-republican, my hope is that someone like Chang-Diaz primary him in 2014 so that we can get rid of Lynch.

As for Lynch, I wished he stopped trying to be Scott Brown with a D after his name. Seems this race is turning at who owns a truck, now, even without Brown in the race, rather than on real issues.
