Id venture that theres more dignity in Beyoncés marvelously controlled, rigorously choreographed performance than in Bruce Springsteens sloppy slide and camera crotch-bump of a few years back. And as much as her very much post-baby body was on display, Beyoncés performance was less allusively sexual than Princes silhouetted guitar. In fact, almost everything about Beyoncés off-stage life pretty much seems to meet Lopezs criteria, from her long courtship with Jay-Z, to the child the two of them had once they were firmly ensconced in wedlock. If I were Lopez, I might actually think about striking the Knowles-Carters a medal for defying the Hollywood trend of shotgun or infinitely-delayed post-baby weddings.

(14,177 posts)If you don't like the half time show don't freakin watch it. Problem solved without nary a wardrobe malfunction. I.E you don't need to get your panties in a twist over it.
and I've maybe watched two SB halftimes since childhood...
I've never cared; and I always skip it....

I'm honestly just curious because I don't get all the brouhaha over this. Her performance was actually pretty mainstream in terms of women and sexuality in the media.

(36,109 posts)I didn't see it, but...
A bunch of women bouncing around half-dressed trying to be overtly sexual is just so last century. It's like 80s-90s action-adventure films always have the 'bad guys' meet up at strip clubs. It's just so dated
Something more cutting edge and modern would have at least included half-dressed sexual men in the routine
