UPDATE: SoCal preschool closes due to sexual activity between students

A church near Los Angeles is closing its preschool only a month into the spring semester The reason? Apparently kids were having sex with each other.

Some students in the preschool class at the First Lutheran Church of Carson School would engage in oral sex during naptime, in the tunnel slide on the playground and in an outside bathroom, attorney Greg Owen told ABCNews.com.
"It all boils down to a lack of supervision," Owen said. "There were times when teachers would let aides in the room for hours at a time to watch the kids. During naptime, the aides would be sleeping and the children would have been molesting each other during this time."
[snip]
Owen, who is representing four alleged victims, said he plans to file a lawsuit on Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court against the school, the church, the principal, the teacher and an alleged child perpetrator.

or some kids were sexually molested at some point in their very young lives by much older children or adults.

At this point, I'm going with bullshit.

Preschoolers in general want nothing to do with the opposite sex. Kissing is still considered eww. And 4 victims give me a break. I might believe two students might have experimented not 4 no way.

Even if the kids were maybe checking each other out, that's pretty common behavior for preschoolers. It's part of their natural curiosity and doesn't become an issue really unless the parents make a huge deal out of it. That's my opinion anyway. I can remember my cousin and me "playing doctor" when we were little. My little brothers got the surprise of their lives when the little girl across the street decided to strip for them in her garage. They were all around six. We've all survived, we're not tainted or damaged in any way.

That's not to say that molestation by an adult or a teenager isn't a huge issue that needs to be dealt with, but little kids and other little kids, not so much.

My mom is a marriage and family therapist who works with juvenile sex offenders. The young ones who do things like this have indeed been molested and abused, and are modeling what has happened to them. That's how it happens. It's probably not bullshit, it's probably a victim kid (or two) who started imitating his/her abuse, and then it continued with the victims of that child imitating and so on.
