and good riddance of course. But I think they will continue to reinvent themselves. The mainstream media and the Republican party may have had their fill, but Palin and Beck will both find outlets ready to shove a microphone in their face. And both have made their millions. Palin is a breathtakingly ignorant women. But she also managed to make a ton of money. That alone will ensure she remains a player and the object of adoration, though on a smaller scale. Perhaps she will be happy to enjoy the dough and go away, but I doubt it. She's answering the call of god, doncha know?

(CNN) - One day after Fox News confirmed that it and Sarah Palin had parted ways, the former Alaska governor spoke out Saturday on why she decided to leave her gig as a paid contributor.

In an interview with the conservative news outlet Breitbart, Palin said she wants to share her values "more broadly" rather than "preach to the choir."

“The message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience," she said.

.......

"I was raised to never retreat and to pick battles wisely, and all in due season," she said. "When it comes to defending our republic, we haven’t begun to fight! But we delight in those who underestimate us."
